Topics of Conference:
This year's conference will go with three streams right after its opening ceremony:
Stream 1: Professional development for foreign language teachers, including ESL teachers (October 29):
There are two lead speakers in this session: Miao-Fen Tseng, professor from University of Virginia,
and April Perkins, world language specialist from Maine Department of Education.
Stream 2: Current situation and perspective on International Student Program; guest teacher program
and education cooperation between the US and China (October 29):
This session will be led by Jay Brennan, CEO from Global Study Connections, and Paul Penna,
Superintendent, Bonny Eagle School District.
Stream 3: Culture Experience- Cooking Chinese Food on the second day (October 30):
This session will be led by international chefs and local food specialists. The foods/dishes
will be demonstrated are: Kung Pao Chicken, Hot Pot, Wonton soup and Fried Rice.
